Mr. Hayhurst has studied the martial arts since he was 12 years old.  In his mid 20s as a member of the US Air Force he was stationed in Okinawa Japan for 8 years, he set aside all of his previous martial arts accomplishments to study directly from the Okinawa Seidokan Style Headmaster Shian Toma, Second Headmaster Shigemitsu Tamaie, ZOSKKR Vice President Satoshi Yamauchi, and RSKKR/OSKKR President Ron Nix.  These are the top masters of the Seidokan Martial Art and Mr. Hayhurst's instructors.  Mr. Hayhurst's total time training in the Martial Arts is 44 years.  He has been a member in the Okinawa Seidokan System since 1990 and currently operates as the USA Liaison to Okinawa to assist in the development of US regional and national seminars for all subscribing schools.  He is part of the RSKKR/USA Seidokan Technical Committee and serves as in an advisory capacity for the development of technical rank requirements and school programs. 

Mr. Hayhurst moved to Cocoa Beach area in early 2015.  He set up his school and actively teaches Martial Arts Instructions in the Nancy Hanson Recreation Center and Suntree Martial Arts, where he teaches kids as young as 8 years old to adults his knowledge of this rich art.
